Flower Cold Room Temperature & Storage Conditions
Different flowers have different storage requirements. A properly designed flower cold room should consider flower variety, storage duration, product quantity, humidity, airflow and the operating environment of the UAE.
Roses Typically stored around 1–3°C with high relative humidity.
Carnations Generally require cool storage and high humidity.
Lilies Require appropriate airflow and controlled refrigerated storage.
Tulips Require cool storage and protection from excessive heat and light.
Orchids Many orchid varieties require warmer storage than standard cut flowers.
Gerberas Benefit from controlled cooling and gentle airflow.
The exact temperature and humidity setting should be selected according to the flower variety, supplier recommendations, storage period and operating requirements.
